At the tiny lakeside village of Nesso, stone houses descend toward the water around the Orrido di Nesso, a deep natural gorge carved by two mountain streams. The old stone footbridge tucked between the buildings spans the rushing water just before it disappears into Lake Como — one of those places that seems almost hidden until you see it from the lake.
