Some places have a way of feeling unreal even when you’re standing right in the middle of them. You’ve got a church steeple quieted by the mid-morning sun, and just a few hundred yards behind it, a cliff dropping a waterfall straight down into the valley.

It almost looks staged, like a film set where someone forgot to turn off the water feature. But sit on that bench for five minutes, listen to the roar echoing off the rock wall, and you realize the scale here doesn’t care about looking subtle.
