A Church Along the Way

Sometimes the landmarks you remember aren’t the ones you planned to see. St. Vigil Church in Obsaurs, Austria, appeared along the road east toward Innsbruck, its slender steeple rising against mountains disappearing into the evening mist.

There was no itinerary stop and no famous destination waiting here — just one of those places that makes you pull over. A small village church, a fading sky, and a photograph found somewhere along the way.
