Everybody wants the view. Nobody talks much about the distance between where you’re standing and where you want to be.
That’s where most of life happens anyway—in the stretch between the two. The part that takes longer than expected, changes direction without asking, and occasionally makes you wonder why the hell you started walking in the first place.
But every once in a while, you look up and realize the road itself was pretty damn good.
