High in the mountains, the small church and its cemetery occupy a landscape so beautiful it almost changes the meaning of the place. Snow still clings to the peaks while brilliant green meadows climb toward the forest, and generations rest beneath iron crosses surrounded by flowers.

There is something striking about the permanence of the stone church against a landscape that never stops changing. Seasons pass across the mountains, flowers disappear and return, snow retreats and eventually comes again. The clock continues to mark the hours above it all.

Here, the final resting place does not feel removed from life. It sits directly within it.
